ATLANTA (June 16, 2026) – U.S. Soccer has named the U.S. Women’s and Men’s Beach Soccer National Team rosters for U.S. Soccer on the Beach, presented by Volkswagen on Sunday, June 21 in Venice Beach, Calif. The unique event will serve as a showcase for Beach Soccer, as the Beach WNT and Beach MNT face Trinidad and Tobago in a first-of-its-kind doubleheader at 3100 Ocean Front Walk, just steps away from U.S. Soccer House, presented by Bank of America.
The Beach WNT will open the doubleheader against Trinidad and Tobago at noon PT, followed by the Beach MNT also facing the Soca Warriors at 1:30 p.m. PT. For the Beach WNT, the match marks the team’s first-ever on home sand since launching in 2019, while the Beach MNT will also play its first home contest since 2014. As another free event from U.S. Soccer this summer, fans can expect a high-energy beachside atmosphere featuring elite competition, music, fan experiences and the fast-paced creativity that has made Beach Soccer one of the sport’s most exciting formats.
"Playing on home sand in Venice Beach is a special opportunity for our players and will be historic for this team,” said U.S. Beach WNT head coach Morgan Church. “We're excited to bring together a talented roster that represents the growth and competitiveness of Beach Soccer in the United States. We are thrilled to be tied into all the U.S. Soccer fan activity in Los Angeles around the World Cup before showcasing our discipline of the sport with an entertaining match for Beach Soccer fans on Sunday.”
"We are all very excited about the chance to play at home in front of our fans in a U.S. Soccer event,” said U.S. Beach MNT head coach Marcelo Mendes. “Opportunities like this are fantastic exposure for our game and we’re grateful to Volkswagen and the U.S. Soccer Federation for giving us this spotlight. We look forward to a strong few days of training as we continuing building towards World Cup qualification next year.”
Both U.S. teams bring strong international credentials into the event. Established in 2019, the U.S. Women’s Beach Soccer National Team has quickly emerged as a global force, winning multiple international tournaments, most recently at the 2026 Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup in April, and earning a place among the world’s top-ranked teams. The U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team has consistently fielded a dominant side in the Concacaf region, with three regional championships and seven FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup appearances since beginning play in 2005.
A majority of the players on both U.S. rosters are from California. From the Beach WNT side, that includes two-time Women’s Beach Soccer Player of the Year Hannah Adler (Santa Barbara) as well as captain and Beach WNT all-time cap leader Jeané Sunseri-Warp (San Jose).
Sunday will also serve as a literal home game for Beach MNT all-time cap winner Alessandro Canale (Venice Beach), who lives just steps away from where the match will take place. Canale, who became just the second Beach MNT player to earn 100 caps last year, is joined on the squad by 2024 Male Beach Soccer Player of the Year Antonio Chavez (Oceanside), who is set to appear in his 50thconsecutive international match on Sunday.
